On a misty Autumn morning where the light was softly muted, I set out to paint en plein air amongst the gums in Fred Caterson Reserve. My senses were in overdrive as the smell of damp eucalyptus and ferns seemed to clear my thoughts. The cool morning air brushed the hairs on my skin and the silence refreshed my soul. The overlapping composition of trees felt comforting as if I was within a family unit. What a treasured morning to be 'Amongst the Trees'.
